Pre-wedding day duties include:

• Meeting with officiant/minister and attending rehearsal (Conducting rehearsal if minister is not.)
• Making sure all materials are sent to location- marriage license, candles, guest book, decorations, etc..
• Follow up with all vendors to make sure they have specific location and directions and time they will arrive.
• Follow up with caterer and venue to make sure final count of guests is correct for ceremony seating and reception table and chairs.

Day of wedding:

• Making sure flowers and other essential material has arrived on time.
• Making sure all parties are accounted for and at location on time including groom.
• Follow up with time frame to make sure everyone is on schedule with pre-ceremony preparations.
• If pre-ceremony photos are to be taken, alert photographer as to time remaining before ceremony begins.
• Making sure all flowers, pews bows, aisle runner, unity candle, etc. are in place and ready.
• Assist with pinning of boutonnieres and corsages.
• Follow up to make sure cake has arrived and all vendors.
• Direct guest to ceremony location and be the liaison between minister and bridal party as to exact start time based upon guest arrival and bride readiness.
• Help with bridal party during processional as to order and timings when to walk down aisle.
• Assist bride as needs making sure dress and train are smooth.


While ceremony is taking place:

• Analyze and make necessary adjustments of reception area based on preferred layout by bride and groom. (Making sure that caterer is following outline).
• Making sure place cards, gift table, guest book, etc. are laid out properly. As well as any decorations, such as centerpieces, tulle and flowers, have been placed accordingly.
• Follow up with DJ/Band ,Caterer, photographers, and any other vendors. with scheduled times for introductions, toast, cake cutting, etc.
• Take overall assessment of reception appearance and make any necessary changes if necessary for your perfect reception.

After ceremony:

• Speak to photographer as to amount of time before introductions will take place.
• Direct guests to location of reception.
• Acting as hostess to make sure guests sign guest book, get place card, know location of restrooms, coat room, bar, etc..


During reception:

• Direct the activities of the reception.
• Act as MC for introduction of bridal party and bride and groom, if DJ/band is not doing this duty.
• Making sure every vendor is following time line for toast, 1st dance, other additions, cake cutting, etc. Sometimes this is a necessity to have an intermediate person to make sure everyone is on the same page, especially is ceremony has run late and has altered the preliminary time table of events.
• Resolve any facility issues or problems.
• Basic event management to make sure the reception is running smoothly and without incident.


After reception:

• Make sure that all cake and food has been distributed to bride and groom and family members as requested by couple.
• Make sure all gifts, cards, bridal accessories, etc. are placed in the proper vehicle for departure.
• Follow up with Caterer to have facility cleaned, trash removed, decorations taken down and placed back to its original state.
• Secure and return all rented items used for wedding day.
